Tips for Winter Landscape Maintenance

Although it is the off season and things in your garden are winding down, there are certain steps you should think about before taking the winter off.  Here at Designscapes Colorado, we are committed to helping your landscape reach its full potential during the peak months, by offering several services throughout the winter season including: Winter Watering, Snow Removal, Holiday Lighting, and Landscape Design.

This winter’s snow accumulation has not been adequate to supply enough moisture to our plants.  Lack of moisture is especially hard on newly planted trees and shrubs.  If you have not watered your landscape plants and lawn please do so.  Pay particular attention to evergreens on the south and west side.  Hosing evergreens off will also remove accumulated dust from the fall winds and provide needed moisture.  Use a deep-water wand to water roots or a slow trickle from the hose to allow for deep absorption.
